Creative Emergence Workshops
I offer many public workshops each year - both online and in person. All go under the surface to cultivate expanded ways of being, doing, creating, and perceiving, with practical, grounded outcomes.
Space is limited to ensure individual attention, sharing, and group connection.

Multidimensional Storytelling for Crafting Your Next Chapter
Storytelling connect dots the previously were not connectable. We can see the parts as part of "living ecosystem" instead of randomly disconnected things or situations. In this highly interactive workshop we'll take deep dives into your stories, imagination, and ways being to nourish your soul and uncover more of your creative self and clarity about your next chapter. We explore and experience storytelling techniques, frameworks, and prompts from various creative dimensions for creating what's next and feeling more confident in choice-making. Comes with Story Playbook. You'll explore and experience:
- Mining your stories through a few of the creative languages, both verbally and non-verbally
- An emergent navigation process you can use anytime for moving forward when the path isn't clear
- Practical steps to start to create your next chapter
- Meaning-making and sense-making in novel ways
- Connecting in pattern breaking ways with others in the group
Silent Creativity Retreat
When we don't talk, other parts of our creative selves come alive.By creatively engaging without words, we bypass the left brain editor/evaluator/judge, and get into the vibrant, flowing, and fun aspects of our right brain and our bodies.
Our nonverbal intelligences offer an expansion into new ways of thinking, being, and navigating. We step back from stressful looping of dominant thoughts, meet the moment where it is, and experience ourselves and situations with new perspectives.
In this workshop, we use silence as a creative resource, combined with a variety of focused whole-brain experiences using expressive arts, silent story, movement, and more - all without talking.
You'll explore and experience:
- An expanded concept of your creative self
- So much innate creativity when no "evaluator" is chiming in
- Decreased anxiety, blocks, and resistance
- Increased confidence in staying in not-knowing
- Enhanced presence and in-the-moment awareness
- Easy access to the creative-flow state
- Joy, fun, laughter, and connection
By doing this with a group, a collective emergence space is co-created. You have access to the creativity both in yourself and in the "group field." The creative field plays a huge part in group flow and connection - the place of real creative emergence. Not talking deepens connection to this field.
Partnering with your Creative Self
Once we have a trusting relationship with our creative self/source, we see options and choices we wouldn't have previously imagined. We see openings when some doors close. We're more resilient in the face of adversity. And we find inspiration and motivation more easily; and we can access creative flow states more often.
Working consciously with our inner creative source helps with: vision creating, discerning, reframing problems into opportunities, decision making, ideation, and moving through resistances. We feel more alive, trusting, lightened up, and more empowered and confident in our own creativity, intuition, and sense of purpose. And, it's fun! You'll explore and experience:
- What your creative source is and does
- Various ways it communicates with us and how it feels
- Using it intentionally
- Creating a receptive "inner environment"
- Real-time practices in the workshop
- A PDF with other practices to take with you
Creative Parts: Catalyzing Your Inner Support team
When Walt Whitman famously said “I am large. I contain multitudes” he wasn’t kidding. Each of us carries multiple parts, and while some act at odds with each other at one level, they can be integrated into a co-creative "whole" within us. When we connect with them, and learn to work with them as allies, they can become a source of support and creativity. In this program you’ll begin to uncover your Inner Support Team - the parts of you that can provide courage, creativity, discernment, and direction. You'll explore and experience:
- Accessing more of your multi-dimensionality
- The inner allies most essential to bring your visions to life
- Strengthening trust between seemingly conflicting parts
- Transform the loudest resistant parts - without battling or bypassing - so they no longer block your momentum
- Making life-giving choices with your inner support team
- The Creative Self and the Whole Self, and the difference between them and other parts
- Coaching your inner parts so they start to work with you
Creating without a Map: Emergent Mandala Making
Mandala making has been proven to have a profound impact on fostering inner peace, beyond immediate stress relief and into deeper layers of who we are. In this workshop, we will practice the art of emergent mandala making - not having an outline ahead of time - creating both the structure and the details as you go in real time.
Hand drawing mandalas can be used for deepening your relationship with the unknown. For those who don't like "blank page" creating from nothing, this is an easy, no-risk, low-stakes way to learn to do it - in a safe space. You'll learn and experience:
- Drawing mandalas like a visual improvisation, with one creative moment informing the next
- An easy-to-engage process and techniques you can use long after the workshop is over on other creative projects
- Principles for moving through the unknown without a map
- Turning "mistakes" into adaptive invitations
- Cultivating your unique voice and expression
- Connecting with the inner peacefulness of the process
